Bring your mom and sisters for a wine country getaway, ride the Katy Trail, or celebrate a wedding at one of the nearby wedding venues. The Aussie Cottage is in the heart of WashMo and Missouri wine country and less than an hour from St. Louis.

The Aussie Cottage is dog friendly for pre-approved dogs only.

🛏️ The space

MAIN LEVEL

Entering from the back door, you’ll have only 1 step into the home.

The main level has the large great room with flat screen TV, full size couch, love seat, and two chairs. The eat-in kitchen is fully equipped and has a large dining table that seats 8 people.

The spacious kitchen has all new appliances and everything you need, including your choice of coffee brewing: drip, Keurig, or French press. The stacked full size washer and dryer are also on the main level behind the built in kitchen cabinets.

There are 2 bedrooms on the main level, one with a queen size bed and the second with two queen size beds. Additionally a full bathroom with combo tub and shower off the hall.

UPPER LEVEL

Up a set of narrow historic stairs is a dressing area with full length mirrors and the third and fourth bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and the other with two queen size beds.

The second bathroom is on this level off the hall and has a step in shower.

LAUNDRY

There is a full size washer and dryer in the kitchen on the main level.

🌱 Fenced yard and porch

PORCH and BACKYARD

The front porch is covered and allows you to enjoy the treelined street and watch the local cars and bikes go by.

The large backyard is fully fenced with a black chainlink fence. It has a patio table with chairs, a gas barbecue grill, and a wood burning fire pit.

We will start you with a bundle of firewood, please pick up additional bundles of firewood (available at the local gas station) if you would like to burn more.

Please remember to pick up after your dogs do their business. We have a dog basket with poo bags so you will always have some nearby to help keep the yard clean for all guests.

The home has a long driveway to comfortably fit 3 vehicles plus there is ample public street parking.

At the corner of a classic downtown residential street, the Aussie Cottage is just 3-4 blocks to all the best shops and restaurants in downtown Washington.

The boutique shops, local pubs, cafes, and restaurants, and the festival zone, as well as a couple blocks from the Missouri River, the Amtrak Station, and the Riverfront Park, you’ll enjoy keeping your car parked and taking strolls to your destination.

Downtown Washington is a destination on its own, but if you want to explore further out, you don’t have far to go:

GETTING AROUND

You can bike or walk anywhere in Downtown Washington or drive your car. You’ll need transportation of some type with you (car, bike, or your feet) as there are very few Uber drivers available in the area.

Winery shuttles are available to the local wineries as well.

💥 Noise monitoring: We use a Minut noise monitoring device inside the home. This does not record, it only monitors decibels of sound to alert us if guests are being loud. This means louder than normal dinner table conversation during neighborhood quiet hours.

⏰ Quiet hours are 10pm to 7am. Thank you for respecting our neighborhood.
