Cedar Haus
Located in the historical Tibbe District of Downtown Washington, Missouri, the Cedar Haus is a grand 3 story home for family and friends to gather.
Bring your mom and sisters for a wine country getaway, ride the Katy Trail, or celebrate a wedding at one of the nearby wedding venues. The Cedar Haus is in the heart of WashMo and Missouri wine country and less than an hour from St. Louis.

THE SPACE
The renovated 1908 Cedar Haus is 3 levels with a total of 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, and 2 living areas. It sleeps a total of 18 people over the 3 levels.
Over a century old, the fireplaces (nonworking), doors, woodwork, and hardwood floors have been refurbished, adding a beautiful charm to this brick home.
In the 1930s, the home was made into a 2-family house, and it was kept that way when recently restored. Every effort was taken to soundproof the stairs and floor between the main and second level, but some sounds (i.e. tromping on the stairs or the accidentally slammed door) will still filter through the hardwood floors.
The Cedar Haus is dog friendly for pre-approved dogs only.
MAIN LEVEL
The living area on the main level is an open floor plan showcasing the fireplace centerpiece and hardwood floors.
The great room has a queen sleeper sofa and a flat screen TV. The dining area has an antique dining table with a corner bench and two chairs.
The full kitchen has everything you need to make your own meals, including place settings, pots and pans, wine glasses, and both a French press and a regular coffee maker.
The master bedroom has a queen size bed with crisp white linens and a door to the covered back deck. The en suite bathroom has a gorgeous subway tile shower with handheld spa shower head.
The second bedroom also has a queen size bed and its own door to the covered back deck. The second bathroom is located off the kitchen area.
SECOND LEVEL
Up a flight of over 100 year old steep stairs, the upper levels are accessed from the porch through door B, as the house can be two separate family units.
The second level has its very own living area with queen sofa sleeper, flat screen TV, large dining table that seats 8 people, and a gorgeous fully equipped kitchen.
The master bedroom has a queen size bed and an en suite bathroom with another incredible shower. This level also has the fourth bedroom with a queen size bed and another full size bathroom near the kitchen area.
THIRD LEVEL
Up another set of restored stairs is a third sitting area with a queen sofa sleeper and the fifth and sixth bedrooms, each with a queen size bed. The fifth bathroom is on this level and has the largest of the subway tiled showers as well as the original cast iron clawfoot soaking tub.
DECK, BALCONY, BACKYARD
The covered deck is off the main level, and the large balcony is off the second level, with a view of downtown building rooftops and steeples. The backyard is fully fenced and a great place for the kids and doggies to play.
LAUNDRY
There are 2 sets of washers and dryers — one is in the basement and accessed through the main level, and one is in the master suite on the second level.

Our stay at the Bank Haus was a wonderful experience. It is a combination of modern conveniences and the robust architecture of a century old brick building built to be a symbol of stability and strength in the community.
It was clean and comfortable. The transom windows, squeaky wood floors, high ceilings covered in tin ceiling tiles, expansive windows and doors, long staircase, real wooden doors and two vaults all added to the experience. The modern kitchen and bathrooms were integrated in a way that made it easy for three families to move around easily and be comfortable.
